First SETX Green Exchange!

OK so it is official! The first SETX Green Exchange is going to be on November 7 at 10 a.m. We are going to be meeting at The Barking Dog Coffee Lounge at 493 Pearl St. We would like to thank the owners, Chris and Tanya, for agreeing to host our monthly Exchange! They will have their used coffee grounds available to anyone who would like to take them for composting purposes on a first come -  first serve basis, so don’t be late! As awareness and attendance grows, we will move toward meeting every other Saturday and hopefully even weekly! If you are looking for a certain item, or want to find out if anyone is interested in a certain item, please feel free to use the comment section below.  If you have any questions please contact us at: matt@miakatempire.com. We are really looking forward to having something like this in our area! See you all there!

  1. Right now, all I have to trade is some red spider surprise Lilly bulbs I have harvested. You should be able to plant them now for Spring. I’m looking for anything to go in my winter garden.

  2. Awesome! I think we are also going to have some aloe and other succulents that we have separated in containers, a few potted plants for nectar beds that we had left over and didn’t end up using, as well as some peppers and a few herbs we have harvested. ;)

A lot of people have said they are coming so I think we will have a great turn out! Exciting! ;)

  3. Dani – Matt says he is super excited about the bulbs!

Is anyone interested in knock out roses? We have a lot more than we need and were going to dig a bunch up. ;)

  4. Definitely interested in some roses!

  5. This sounds so neat! I wish I had some gardening items to trade, but I have nothing! Not even a garden…though I would love one! Maybe next month I’ll have something.

    • Morgan, You should definitely still come, even if yo don’t have anything to bring at the moment. It is not a item for an item ratio….more of a bring what feels right and take what feels right. We always have more than enough bounty left at the end, so there is more than enough to share. ;) If nothing else, come for the community and share your gardening experiences with us, or listen to others and get advice from more experienced gardeners. Hope to see you there!
